We are pleased to announce the launch of a formal Academic Advising Programme at Legacy House, starting in August 2025!
Academic advising programmes are well-established at many European and American universities. Typically, each student is assigned to a faculty member from the beginning of their academic journey. This advisor supports and guides the student through their studies, from start to finish. At Legacy House, we are adopting a similar approach. Students will meet formally with their assigned advisor twice a year to discuss academic progress, subject choices, challenges, and plans for further studies. These meetings are strictly confidential. In addition, students may contact their advisor at any time for guidance or support. If necessary, interventions can be arranged to help ensure that each student reaches their full potential—both academically and personally. The programme is especially valuable during key decision-making periods, such as subject selection or university application season. Grade 12 students, for example, will benefit from tailored advice on university options, entrance requirements, application deadlines, and more.
To begin, each student will complete a questionnaire indicating their field of interest. Based on this, they will be assigned a staff advisor with relevant expertise. From that point forward, the student has a designated contact person for any academic or personal concerns.
We are excited to implement this new programme at Legacy House and look forward to supporting our students even more effectively in their educational journey!
